Tapio Manninen is a seasoned AI researcher with over 15 years of experience in machine learning, computer vision, and MLOps. He holds a PhD from Tampere University of Technology, where his research focused on applying machine learning techniques to signal processing and industrial applications. Most recently, at Xiaomi, Tapio developed advanced imaging algorithms for mobile cameras, specializing in deep learning solutions such as noise reduction and white balancing. He has contributed to over 100 machine learning projects across diverse industries. His recent expertise includes model quantization, optimization, and deployment on mobile NPUs. With a strong background in both startups and established tech environments, Tapio is passionate about data-driven approaches and committed to delivering AI algorithms that solve real-world problems.
